I make museum handling objects and learning resources that improve accessibility and promotes sustainability for institutions.
It doesn't matter what stage your project is at, get in touch and we can discuss. There's a lot of options and information so the best thing to do is just chat to me.
You can send me your finished design files ready to cut/make, or I can develop the design for you.
Ways of Working
This is dependant on the sort of project you require.
Do you have a clear finished concept in mind?
Do you have an in-house designer, or the ability to use a vector program yourself?
Option one: Time PER UNIT + Material Cost + INitial SEt Up Fee
Send me your completed vector artwork file drawn to scale.
Include a 10x10mm test square so I can check the measurements are correct. (different programs may re-scale your work for you).
Expand compound shapes, fonts, or line thicknesses. Unite shapes with multiple parts. The laser cutter will recognise and follow the path of every individual component separately. It can't recognise brush or line thickness.
I use Adobe Illustrator. I can usually assist you with small adjustments and suggest changes if necessary. Ie. Do you need rounded corners? Do you need to use a stencil font? Do you need to include screw holes?
COPIES: If you need further identical copies at a later date, I will use the same costing formula but with a lower set up fee. If you require changes to the original version I'll use the standard set up fee. Multiples are the most economical.
OPTION TWO: DESIgn DAY RATE + MATERIALS cost
If you'd like me to develop a new concept and design for you I will charge you my daily design rate.
I work in half day blocks.
Sometimes this can work out cheaper. I always try to work within the most economical option that suits your project and what you're asking me to do.
COPIES: If you need further identical copies at a later date I will switch to Option One.
Get in touch and we can figure out what's best for you!
Thank you!
